Add an offline donation

Add an offline donation

  1. In your GoFundMe Pro account, select Transactions and Transaction History
  2. Select Add offline donation

  1. Enter the campaign information for the offline donation

Note: If you choose a Peer-to-Peer or Registration with Fundraising campaign, you can also specify which fundraising team or page should get credit for the donation.

  1. Fill out the rest of the offline donation form with the donation and payment details
  2. Select Review to confirm the information
  3. Select Save to add the donation 

Once you add an offline donation, it will appear in your Transaction History and reports. The donation also appears on your campaign’s activity feed if you have it turned on.

Delete an offline donation

  1. In your GoFundMe Pro account, select Transactions and Transaction History
  2. Select the ID of the offline donation you want to delete
  3. Select the three vertical dots at the top of the record and then select Delete transaction

Edit an offline donation

  1. In your GoFundMe Pro account, select Transactions and Transaction History
  2. Select the ID of the offline donation you want to edit

When you select the ID number, a details page for the transaction appears. From this page, you can edit the offline donation’s amount, type, campaign, and more.

Offline payment information

Next to Offline donation, select Edit to change the payment information for the offline donation. Select Save when you’re done with your edits.

Transaction information

Under Supporter, select Edit to edit the supporter’s display name and change their privacy options.

Note: To edit the name or contact information of an offline donor, do so from their supporter profile.

Custom questions

You can only edit this section if you ask custom questions in your campaign. Next to Custom questions, select Edit to add or change the supporter’s answers.

Campaign

Next to Campaign, select Edit to move the offline donation to another campaign. If the campaign allows fundraising, you can also specify which fundraising team or page the donation belongs to.

Program designation

Next to Program designations, select Edit to change which program designation the donation belongs to. Only active program designations appear as options.

Dedication

If the supporter dedicated their donation to someone, you can also enter and edit that information. Select Create to add dedication information, or select Edit to edit existing information.

Send a receipt for offline donations

After an offline donation is added, you can trigger an email receipt to be sent to the listed email address. To do so, select the offline donation and then select Send receipt under the Supporter section on the right side of the record.

Report on offline donations

You can create a report of your offline donations by adding a filter to the transactions report. To do so:

  1. Select Transactions in your GoFundMe Pro account and then select Transactions History
  2. Select the Advanced button for additional filters
  3. Under Property, choose Transaction > Transaction Type
  4. Under Operator, select Is Equal To
  5. Under Value, select Offline Donation

Frequently asked questions

Why can’t I add an offline donation?

Only account-level admins can add offline donations from the Transaction History page. If you only have access to a specific campaign, you’ll need to add the offline donation from within the campaign. To do so, access the campaign and select Reports > Add offline donation in the navigation bar. 

Can I add an offline donation that is not associated with a campaign?

No, all donations must have a campaign associated with them.

Why can't I select a fundraising page or team when creating the offline donation?

Offline donations can be made to any GoFundMe Pro campaign, but cannot be applied to a fundraising page or team in a GoFundMe peer-to-peer campaign.
