Create a Classic peer-to-peer campaign
Before you start
Check out our course in GoFundMe Pro Academy to learn how to plan, build, and launch your campaign with confidence.
If you're looking to launch a campaign quickly, check out our GoFundMe peer-to-peer option to let your fundraisers build pages in GoFundMe while you manage everything in GoFundMe Pro.
Launch a fully customizable peer-to-peer campaign where supporters can join or create teams and fundraise together.
To create a peer-to-peer campaign:
- In your account menu, select Campaigns
- Select Create New Campaign
- Choose Peer-to-peer campaign and select Continue
- Choose Classic peer-to-peer and then Set up campaign
Next, enter the campaign details such as name and fundraising goal. If you are unsure what to enter now, use placeholders. You can edit these fields later in the campaign details.

Tip: Learn how to design your campaign so your fundraisers are set up for success in our GoFundMe Pro Academy course.
Landing page
The landing page is the first page supporters visit. It showcases your organization's impact and encourages fundraising.
Elements on the landing page include:
- Header logo: Recommended size is 300 x 50px, and PNG format works best.
- Headline: Keep it short, like the name of your campaign. You can replace text with an image for visual appeal.
- Hero image: Appears behind the headline, progress bar, and buttons. Recommended size is 1280 x 720px, and JPG format works best.
- Primary color: Used for buttons and progress bars. Ensure high contrast for readability.
- About: Describe your campaign and your organization's impact. Focus on the action you want supporters to take.
- Impact tiles: Connect donation amounts to specific impacts. Each tile corresponds to a fundraising level.
- Leaderboard: Celebrates top fundraisers. You can toggle it on or off and customize it to show top teams, individuals, or both.
Team page
When customizing the team page, set default options such as:
- Fundraising goal
- Cover photo or hero image
- Default team photo and headline
- Team story
Fundraisers can customize their own team photos, names, and goals. To allow headline customization, toggle off this feature in the Team Page’s Design tab.
Important: Once a donation is placed, the default currency cannot be changed. It defaults to the user’s browser language setting.
Fundraiser page
Set default options for individual fundraising pages, such as:
- Fundraising goal
- Cover photo
- Default individual photo
In the Fundraiser Page’s Design tab, you can:
- Prevent fundraisers from updating their headlines and goals.
- Turn on or off the progress bar and comments.
Donation page
The donation page settings are shared by the campaign, team, and fundraising pages and cannot be edited by supporters.
Set the page’s:
- Background image
- Headline
- Appeal
- Donation frequencies and amounts
For recurring campaigns, toggle off one-time donations and set the preferred option as the default.
Tip: Turn on additional payment options in your account’s payment processor settings.
Thank you page
Customize the thank you page to show appreciation to donors. This page appears after a donation is completed.
Set the page’s:
- Background image
- Headline
- Thank you message
Tip: Customize the default share messages for Facebook, X, or Email in the campaign's Sharing settings.
