Tracking tools

Google Analytics 4

You can access our Google Analytics 4 integration from the Apps & Integrations menu in your account. After you set up the integration, you can specify conversion events to see how many times supporters take specific actions on a campaign page. This can help you analyze which campaigns are most successful through your Google Analytics account.

Set up your Google Analytics 4 integration

Important: If you already use our GTM integration, you should avoid adding a GA4 measurement ID in the Apps & Integrations page. The two solutions have scripts that conflict with one another, which negatively impacts data flowing into your GA4 dashboard.

Instead, you should add a GA4 tag to your GTM container. Once you have this tag in place, follow these steps to import custom variables, tags, events, and triggers tailored to your campaigns. Additional steps are recommended for ecommerce tracking with GTM’s GA4 tag.

Google Tag Manager

You can use our Data Layer with Google Tag Manager to reference and track information like transactions, donation amount, donation frequency, campaign ID, and more. We recommend you familiarize yourself with the Data Layer before you connect to Google Tag Manager.

Once you're ready to activate the Google Tag Manager integration, please reach out to our Care team for next steps.

Facebook Pixel

Adding a Facebook Pixel to your campaign pages allows you to measure how effective your Facebook ads are and how people interact with your site. To add a Facebook Pixel to your campaign pages, send us your Pixel ID and the URL(s) for the campaigns you want to add your Pixel to. From there, you can track conversions from Facebook ads, optimize them, and target audiences to drive more donations on your campaign pages.
