Checkout attendees
Auction features are available with a Live Events subscription. Learn more about Live Events.
Attendees who win or purchase items and make donations during your event can complete self-checkout by visiting their cart.
Event team members can assist attendees by charging the card on file or registering cash or check payments.
Self-checkout
Attendees can complete payment for the items in their cart by visiting your event’s page, logging in, and going to their cart, where they can charge the card on file or add a new payment method.
To complete self-checkout, attendees will:
- Visit your event’s page
- Select Cart
- Select Pay Now under an item. This will take them to their invoice.
- In the invoice, select Pay
Attendees need to complete payment for each item in their cart separately. Learn more about attendee self-checkout Note: Attendees must log in to your event to access their cart.
Charge the card on file
To charge an attendee’s card on file:
- In your event’s menu, select Auction
- Select the Transactions tab
- Search for the attendee
- Select View Cart
Then, a pop-up shows all the items in the attendees’ cart, their payment methods, and all activity. Under one of their items, select Pay With Card on File and confirm the payment method to charge the card.
Cash or check payment
To register cash or check offline payments:
- In the event’s menu, select Auction
- Select the Transactions tab
- Search for the attendee
- Select View Cart
Then, a pop-up shows all the items in the attendees’ cart, their payment methods, and all activity. Under one of their items, select Pay With Cash or Check and enter the payment details.
Frequently asked questions
Attendees can’t enter their credit card information into the form. What’s wrong?
Often, this is happening because your organization has not connected your GoFundMe Pro Pay account to Live Events or has not yet set up its Stripe account in Live Events.

Can I split payments?
Although you cannot split payment between multiple attendees or multiple cards, you can split payment between cash or check and card. You first need to enter the amount paid in cash before you charge the rest on the credit card.
How do I process a refund?
To process a refund on GoFundMe Pro Pay:
- Login to GoFundMe Pro
- Select your organization
- Select Transactions and Transaction History
- Select the Transaction ID number for the transaction you want to refund
- In the Payment Information section, select Refund

Can I resend a receipt on Live Events?
If you're a GoFundMe Pro Pay customer, you can resend a receipt just like on GoFundMe Pro.
- Login to GoFundMe Pro
- Select your organization
- Select Transactions and Transaction History
- Select the Transaction ID number for the receipt you want to resend
- In the Payment Information section, select Send Receipt

If you use a separate Stripe account to process transactions:
- Go to your event in Live Events
- In the navigation menu, select Auction
- Select the Transaction tab
- Next to the transaction you want to resend a receipt for, select View Cart
- Select View Invoice
Send this URL to your attendee so they can view their receipt.
