Connect your payment processor in Live Events

Before you start: To accept payments on Live Events, you need either a GoFundMe Pro Pay account set up in GoFundMe Pro or a separate Stripe account.

Connect GoFundMe Pay

GoFundMe Pay customers need to set up their payment processor in GoFundMe Pro before they can accept payments in Live Events. To do so:

  1. Log in to GoFundMe Pro
  2. Under My Organizations, select Manage
  3. Select Settings
  4. Select Payment Processor Portal
  5. Select GoFundMe Pay
  6. Complete setup

Once you complete GoFundMe Pay setup, you may need to refresh your settings in Live Events. To do so:

  1. Log in to Live Events
  2. Under My Organizations, select your organization
  3. From your Organization Dashboard, select Billing
  4. Select Refresh Settings

Now, GoFundMe Pay should show as Connected and you can begin accepting payments.

Connect your Stripe account

If you are not a GoFundMe Pay customer, you can still accept payments on Live Events by connecting a Stripe account. However, your transaction data will not sync back to GoFundMe Pro or your CRM. To connect a Stripe account:

  1. Log in to Live Events
  2. From your Organization Dashboard, select Billing
  3. Select Connect with Stripe
  4. Login to your Stripe account

Note: If you do not have a Stripe account, you can create one by following the same steps.

When you login, GoFundMe Pro will redirect you to the Live Events Billing page and your Stripe account will begin accepting payments.

Frequently asked questions

Will my transaction fees be different from GoFundMe Pro?

No, if you are a GoFundMe Pay customer, the transaction fees in GoFundMe Pro and Live Events are identical. Learn more about GoFundMe Pay transaction fees.

What are the payment options on Live Events?

Live Events only accepts credit card payments and offline cash or check. Other payment options such as bank transfer, digital wallets, or PayPal/Venmo are not available at this time.

Will my transaction data sync from Live Events back to GoFundMe Pro?

Yes! If you're a GoFundMe Pay customer, transaction data will sync back to GoFundMe Pro and be available in the activity feed, transaction reporting, campaign progress bar, and in campaign reporting.

Will my transaction data also sync to GoFundMe Pro for Salesforce or my CRM?

Yes! If you're a GoFundMe Pay customer, transaction data will sync to Salesforce and partnering CRM integrations. If you notice a problem with the sync, please reach out to our Care team.

Will data from my previously connected Stripe account sync back to GoFundMe Pro?

Data from a separate Stripe account will not sync back to GoFundMe Pro.

What are the transaction fees for Stripe transactions?

The transaction fees for Stripe transactions are 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. Additional 1%+ for international cards and 1%+ if currency conversion is required.
