Multi-currency support
Before you start
Passport is not available for ticketed or registration with fundraising campaigns. It is also not available on Live Events.
Passport provides multi-currency support for donation pages, crowdfunding, and peer-to-peer campaigns. It also lets supporters set fundraising and team goals in their preferred currency.
With Passport, donation receipts show the donation amount in the donor's local currency, along with the converted amount that was processed.
Note: Donations will settle and process in USD. When another currency is selected, donors will not have the option to donate with PayPal, Venmo, or bank transfer.
Studio pages
The currency displayed on Studio pages is based on the supporter’s location. For example, a supporter visiting your page from Japan will see Japanese Yen, while a US visitor will see US Dollars (USD).
For peer-to-peer campaigns, the donation form will show a dropdown if a supporter is in a different country. It will default to the supporter’s local currency, but they can switch to the fundraiser’s currency.
Embedded forms
Donors can choose from the list of supported currencies to display on embedded donation forms in Studio. The currency will be used for the donation form, any nudges, and the Thank You page.
Legacy campaign pages
The supporter's browser language settings determine the currency on legacy campaign pages including standard donation pages and peer-to-peer campaigns.
For example, a supporter in Australia with a browser set to English (Australia) will see Australian Dollars (AUD) on the page.
Fundraiser pages
The experience for fundraisers differs slightly. If the campaign goal is set in a specific currency (e.g., AUD), fundraisers in other countries can still set individual fundraising goals in their local currency.
When a supporter chooses to become a fundraiser, they can choose a goal currency from a list of options.
Supported currencies
Passport supports 155 display currencies. However, some currencies are not supported due to certain country restrictions.
Note: Support is for display only and not for settlement or receipting. To set up your account for International Currency Processing, contact our Care Team.

Receipting
Receipting differs based on whether your account supports single or multiple currencies.
Single currency processing (USD only)
Supporters receive a confirmation email and PDF receipt in the donation currency. The charged amount appears in USD due to conversion.
For example, a €270 donation will display in the confirmation as “You have donated €270,” with the converted USD amount as the Charged Amount.
Multiple currency processing
Supporters see a confirmation message and PDF receipt with the donation in their chosen currency. Conversion displays in the processing currency on the confirmation.
For example, a ¥200 donation will display as “You have donated ¥200,” with the Charged Amount showing in CAD if your account processes in CAD.
