International currency processing
International Currency Processing (ICP) lets nonprofits process donations in multiple currencies without incurring conversion or foreign transaction fees for matching currencies (currencies your payment processor is pre-configured to handle). This optional service includes a one-time setup fee of $100 per currency.
Rather than converting donations before processing, GoFundMe Pro facilitates donations in pre-configured currencies, such as the Euro or Yen. If the donation currency matches one of your processor's pre-configured currencies, you can avoid credit card fees associated with international transactions.
Requirements
To use ICP on GoFundMe Pro, your organization must meet the following criteria:
- Headquartered in the USA with USD as your base currency on GoFundMe Pro
- Have entities in other countries where you can accept donations and issue receipts

Provide GoFundMe Pro with:
- Tax ID
- Address
- Compliance text for each additional currency.
- Use Braintree as your payment processor on GoFundMe Pro
- Ensure your desired countries and currencies are supported by both Braintree and GoFundMe Pro

Frequently asked questions
Is International Currency Processing the same as Passport?
No, Passport is a separate, free service available to all accounts. It lets donors pay in their local currency, but donations are converted to USD before processing.
