Supporter and transaction details

Sign up for GoFundMe Pay to unlock this feature if it's not in your GoFundMe Pro account.

People who donate or fundraise with your nonprofit on GoFundMe Pro appear in your account as supporters. You can manage and view supporters on the Supporters page in your account menu. To view detailed information about donations, payments, and orders, visit Transaction History under Transactions in the account menu.

Supporter details

Supporter records provide an individual supporter’s contact information, transaction history, and fundraising activity.

View a supporter record

  1. Go to Supporters in the GoFundMe Pro menu
  2. Search for and select the supporter you want to view

Note: For event attendee information, go to Fundraising and Attendees instead.

Edit a supporter’s contact information

  1. Open the supporter’s record
  2. Next to Overview, select Edit
  3. Make changes and save

Note: This does not update their login information. Supporters can change their login details through the Supporter Center.

Send a password reset email

If a supporter needs help resetting their password:

  1. Open the supporter’s record
  2. Next to Overview, select Send password reset

The supporter will receive an email with instructions to set a new password.

Transaction details

Transaction records include details about a specific transaction, such as:

  • Gross amount
  • Fees
  • Program designation
  • Supporter information
  • Payment or billing details

View transaction records

  1. Go to Transactions and Transaction History in the GoFundMe Pro menu
  2. Search for and select the transaction you want to view

Transaction statuses

Transaction records may show one of the following statuses:

  • Successful: The transaction was completed.
  • Pending: The transaction is being processed. This occurs for ACH/bank transfer payments. Bank transfers may take up to one week to process.
  • Unsuccessful: The transaction failed (only available if connected to a recurring giving plan).
  • Refunded: The transaction amount was returned to the supporter.
  • Chargeback initiated: The supporter disputed the charge, and funds are held until resolved.
  • Chargeback lost: The dispute was resolved in favor of the supporter, and funds were returned.

Manage transaction information

Payment information

The Order details section includes the donation details. You can also select Edit to send a refund or change the designation.

Transfer a donation to another campaign

To move a donation:

  1. Open Transactions and Transaction History
  2. Select the ID of the transaction you want to move
  3. Scroll to the Campaign section and select Edit
  4. Use the dropdown menu to choose the correct campaign, fundraising team, or fundraiser page
    • Donations from campaigns using Donor Covered Fees (DCF) can't be transferred to older campaigns that use Classy Mode. If the donation you want to transfer came from a DCF campaign, Classy Mode campaigns will not appear in the dropdown and you must transfer it to another DCF campaign.
  5. Select Save

Note: You cannot transfer a ticket purchase or registration to another campaign.

Dedications

Supporters can dedicate their gifts to an honoree. If this information needs editing or addition:

  1. Go to the Dedication section of the transaction
  2. Select Edit or Create

Can I edit a supporter’s fundraising page or team?

Yes, use these guides:

Can I delete or merge supporter records?

No, supporter records cannot be deleted or merged.

Can I duplicate records?

No, duplicating records is not supported to prevent redundancies.

Can I move registration transactions to another campaign?

No, registration transactions cannot be moved.

Why do I see "REDACTED" for the supporter information on a Supporter or Transaction record?

A supporter's information shows "REDACTED" when that supporter has requested to delete their GoFundMe Pro account and personal information from our systems. Their information will also be removed from payout reports.

An Is Redacted column can be added to Supporter and Transaction reports.

Why can’t I send a refund?

Refunds are unavailable through GoFundMe Pro if more than 60 days have passed since the transaction. In this case, your organization must process the refund directly.
