Create a legacy campaign from a template

Before you create a campaign from a template, you need a campaign template on your account. Learn how to create a campaign template.
Create a campaign from a template
Once you have published a campaign template, you can use it to create a campaign.
- Select Campaigns in your account menu and then select My templates
- Select Legacy templates
- Select the template you want to use
- Under Quick actions, select Create campaign from template
- Enter the Campaign details, such as campaign name
- Enter the Date & Time of the campaign
- Enter a Fundraising goal
- Select a Program designation
- Select Create campaign
Then, you'll be taken to the Campaign Overview where you can edit the details and design for your new campaign.

Note: You cannot edit any details that are locked in the template. If you edit areas that are not locked, the campaign will not receive updates from the connected template.
Detach campaign from template
To edit details locked in the template or to make sure edits made to the template do not carry over to the campaign, you need to detach the campaign from the template.
To detach the campaign from the template:
- Select Campaigns in your account menu and then select My templates
- Select Legacy templates
- Select the template with the campaign you want to detach
- Select the Campaigns from template tab
- Next to the campaign, select the three vertical dots
- Select Detach from template
