Manage attendees

In this article:

When you host a Ticketed or Registration with Fundraising campaign on GoFundMe Pro, your supporters can purchase tickets or register to attend.

After they register, you can edit their attendee details, including ticket type, refund their purchase, or view and edit their fundraising pages (if applicable).

Add attendees

Attendees can only be added to an event through a ticket or registration. You can create tickets when you first build the campaign. Or, go to the campaign's Details tab and select Tickets or Registrations to add and edit them.

Tip: If you need to add an attendee to an existing registration, you can add them to the event using a hidden ticket type.

Manage event attendees

An attendee record shows details such as the person’s name, email address, ticket type, RSVP status, and more. You can view and edit this information on the Attendees page.

Note: You cannot transfer a ticket purchase or registration to another campaign.

To manage an event attendee:

  1. In GoFundMe Pro, select Fundraising and Attendees
  2. Search for the attendee and select their name

Edit attendee details

Next to Attendee details, select Edit to update their:

  • Name
  • Email Address
  • RSVP status
  • Registration or ticket type

Select the Custom Questions tab to view their responses and select Edit next to Responses to change any answers.

Note: Changes will not apply to any public-facing pages. Additionally, changes to the registration or ticket type will not send a notification to the Supporter or adjust the quantity for that type.

Remove an attendee

When you need to remove an attendee:

  1. Go to their attendee record
  2. Select the three vertical dots and select Archive Attendee

Archive an attendee

The attendee will now appear in reports in an archived state, ensuring you have a complete record of all attendees who registered. Also, an attendee's fundraising commitment (if applicable) is canceled when they are archived.

To remove these attendees from your reports, select RSVP Status and filter out Archived.

Note for Live events:

Archived attendees and attendees marked as Not attending will still sync to your connected Live event. To remove an attendee from the Live event, refund the transaction.

Refund an attendee

To issue a refund:

  1. In your GoFundMe Pro account, select Transactions and Transaction History
  2. Select the Transaction ID number for the transaction you want to refund
  3. Next to Payment Information, select Refund

Note: Refunded tickets will not update the total ticket quantity. After refunding a ticket, return to the campaign’s ticket details to update the quantity.

Frequently asked questions

Does an attendee's RSVP or archived status appear in Live Events?

No, this information does not sync to Live Events.

Can I refund a $0 ticket?

No, you cannot refund tickets or registrations that cost $0 or were free with a promo code. Please reach out to our Care team to help with the refund.
