Duplicate a Live event

You can duplicate any event that you manage in Live Events. A duplicate event will copy over:

  • Event details and page settings (Including logo and header images)
  • Virtual venue settings (Including stages and rooms)
  • Auction items, displays, and settings
  • Seating arrangement
  • Email templates and settings (Including custom templates and receipt messages)

*If turned on for the original event

Before you copy the event, you can adjust details such as the event name, time and date, and the features you want to use.

A duplicate event will not copy over:

  • Attendees
  • Transactions
  • Text-to-Donate settings
  • Alerts
  • Event team

To duplicate an event:

  1. Go to your Organization Dashboard in Live Events
  2. Hover over the event and select the Actions dropdown
  3. Select Duplicate

Actions dropdown with Duplicate highlighted

In the pop-up, you can adjust your new event’s details and choose the feature settings you want to copy over. Any features you don’t copy over must be turned back on in the event’s Details to use them at your event.

Since this is a new event, your event and auction pages will have new URLs. Review any communications about the event to ensure you are sending supporters to the right page.

Important: You must connect your duplicated event to a GoFundMe Pro campaign so attendees can register and that your data and payment processing work as expected.
