How to text to donate
This article is for attendees of an event on Live Events who need to learn how to text-to-donate. If you are an admin interested in setting up text-to-donate for your event, see our admin guide.
Text-to-donate
The event you are attending will provide you with a phone number and a keyword. Text that keyword to the number provided to access their donation page.
Note: The keyword provided is unique to the event you are attending. Please be careful to enter the keyword correctly.
- Locate the keyword and phone number for the event
- Text the keyword to the phone number provided
- You’ll receive a link to their donation page, tap the link
Important: The link you receive is unique and should not be shared.
The link takes you to their donation page, where you can enter the amount you wish to donate and your information.
Frequently asked questions
Is my information secure?
Yes, Stripe, a PCI Service Provider Level 1 which is the highest grade of payment processing security, handles all credit card information.
How do I know I am on the right page?
The event name appears at the top of the donation page. Be sure to double check before you complete your donation.
Can I donate anonymously?
Yes, select Make my donation anonymous when entering your information to hide your information for this specific donation.
