Using the EveryAction integration
Before you start: The integration is available for customers with professional or advanced packages. If you are interested in our EveryAction integration, please contact your account representative for more information.
The EveryAction integration syncs your supporters and transactions from GoFundMe Pro to EveryAction, keeping your records up to date in both systems.
How supporters sync
When you have a new or updated transaction, GoFundMe Pro sends the related supporter's information to EveryAction as a Contact. The integration syncs these data points:
- First name
- Last name
- Email address (including opt-in status)
- Phone number (including opt-in status)
- Address: street 1, street 2, city, state, postal code, and country
- Supporter ID, stored in a custom field on the Contact record (optional)
Contact matching
Before creating a new Contact, EveryAction uses its own contact-matching criteria to determine whether a Contact already exists, based on data synced from GoFundMe Pro. If a match is found, it updates that Contact with the latest supporter information; if not, it creates a new Contact.
Either way, the integration links the new or updated transaction to the correct Contact record.
Note: EveryAction determines what counts as a match. GoFundMe Pro doesn't control the matching criteria.
How transactions sync
The integration syncs all transactions to EveryAction as Contributions, and offline donations will sync when you check the Integrations & Webhooks box. Each Contribution in EveryAction includes:
- Amount
- Currency (USD)
- Purchase date
- Payment type
- Transaction status (success, refunded, or incomplete)
- Transaction details (type and frequency)
- Transaction ID
Associations
The integration also links each Contribution to these related records in EveryAction:
- The supporter's Contact record
- A Code: Needs to match the internal campaign name stored in GoFundMe Pro
- A General Ledger Fund (GL Fund ID) based on the external ID stored on the designation in GoFundMe Pro
- The designation
Important: To sync custom fields like "is anonymous," "comments," or "tribute" on a Contribution record, you need to obtain the custom field ID and custom field group ID from EveryAction Support. Also, make sure your integration user has permission to write to custom fields on Contribution records in EveryAction.
