Using Studio templates
Before you start
Studio templates are only available for Studio donation page campaigns.

Templates made with our Studio builder help you create campaigns faster and maintain a consistent experience across your team. You can build a template once, then reuse it for future campaigns.
Create a Studio template
Templates can be created from scratch, or you can use an existing campaign as your starting point.
Tip: Use templates for recurring campaigns like events or seasonal appeals. This saves time and helps your team stay consistent across every campaign.
Create a new template

Go to Campaigns > Saved templates
- Select New template
- Enter a template name
- Add a description
- Only used internally for your team
- Select Create
Once created, you can edit the template just like you would when designing a new Studio campaign.
Create a template from an existing campaign
This is a quick way to turn a successful campaign into a reusable starting point.
- Open an existing campaign
- Select Save as template
- Add a name and description
- Select Save
The template from the selected campaign will be automatically created and placed in Campaigns > Saved templates.
Understand linked campaigns
Campaigns created from a template are linked and will get future updates automatically. To stop new campaigns from being linked, open the template and go to Settings > About. Under Default campaign connection, select Unlinked.
Important: Once a campaign is unlinked — whether at creation or later — it can't be re-linked. It keeps a reference to the original template, but it will no longer work as a linked campaign.
- Linked: Child campaigns stay connected to the template, and any updates from the template sync to the campaigns. You can customize campaigns, but you can't rearrange the blocks, layouts, or sections from the template. To make those changes, you'll need to unlink the campaign first.
- Unlinked: An unlinked campaign is created from the template but has no ongoing connection to it. Changes to the template won't affect it. You can start a campaign as linked and unlink it later.

Create a campaign from a template
There are two ways to create a new Studio campaign using a template.
Note: Campaigns created from templates also appear in your campaign reports, so you can track performance as part of your overall strategy.
Option 1: Use a template from your template list
- Go to Campaigns > Saved templates
- Select the template you want to use
- Select Use template
- Complete the campaign setup
Option 2: Use a template during campaign creation
- Go to Campaigns
- Select Create new campaign
- Select Direct giving > Donation page

Choose from:
- Saved templates (your saved templates)
- Pro templates (pre-built templates)
- Select the template and then select Use this template
- Update the campaign name and goal
- Select Complete setup
The new campaign will include all settings, content, and emails from the template. This gives you a strong starting point so you can spend less time editing. Then, you can choose whether to keep the campaign linked to the template or not.
Manage and edit templates
In your GoFundMe Pro account, go to Campaigns > Saved templates to view all of your templates in one place and edit them as needed. Select a template to edit, rename, or archive it.
Note: Linked campaigns are currently available only to customers in the beta program.
Select Campaigns from template to view all of the template's child campaigns, along with their connection and sync status. Select the three dots beside a campaign for more actions like editing, previewing the donation page, copying the URL, unlinking from the template, or archiving.
FAQ
Can I duplicate a template?
No. Instead, create a new template from a linked campaign that's connected to the existing template.
What permissions are needed to manage templates?
To create and edit templates, you need to be an Organization Admin or a Template Manager.
Can I use an existing template to create linked campaigns?
Yes, any template you created before can generate new linked campaigns, and it shows a linked creation option when you're ready to use it.
However, previously created campaigns can't be linked retroactively. They're treated as unlinked campaigns permanently, no matter which template built them.
Can I share a template across accounts?
No, that is not possible right now.
