Dynamic displays
A dynamic display on Live Events can show the amount you fundraise at your event, a scrolling list of supporters, or a rotating list of available auction items. These displays will update in real-time as supporters engage with your event. You can determine the best way to project this display at your event, but Live Events provides templates to help quickly create engaging content.
Create a display
- In the event's menu, select Auction
- Select the Displays tab
You can also find Displays under your Onsite Tools dropdown.
- Under Create a new display, select the display type you want to use
- Complete the Display Settings
- Select Create Display
Total display
Settings:
- Display Name* - Only shown to admins on Live Events
- Background Image - Optional. Recommended dimensions are 1024px x 768px or an image with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
- Thank You Message*
- Background Color - Applies only if there is no background image.
- Text Color
- Display Font
- Item totals to include in the display* - All items, Text-to-Donate, Campaign ticket sales, and Campaign donations.

Thermometer display
Use this option to show your attendees how close you are to your fundraising goal.
Settings:
- Display Name* - Only shown to admins on Live Events
- Goal Amount*
- Background Image - Optional. Recommended dimensions are 1024px x 768px or an image with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
- Header Text*
- Sub-Header Text
- Footer Text
- Background Color - Applies only if there is no background image.
- Primary Color
- Show header/footer - Toggles on the header and footer text box set in the primary color.
- Text Color
- Display Font
- Show logo
- Hide amounts on activity - Hides the purchase and donation amounts from the activity feed.
- Item totals to include in the display* - All items, Text-to-Donate, Campaign ticket sales, and Campaign donations.

Supporters display
The Supporters display provides an engaging way to publicly acknowledge attendees who contribute to your efforts. This will include ticket purchasers, donors, and auction participants at your event.
Settings:
- Display Name* - Only shown to admins on Live Events
- Background Image - Optional. Recommended dimensions are 1024px x 768px or an image with a 4:3 aspect ratio.
- Header Text*
- Sub-Header Text
- Background Color - Applies only if there is no background image.
- Text Color
- Display Font
- Show Total Raised
- Scroll Speed
- Show logo
- Show donation amounts
- Show anonymous donations
- Select supporters to include*

Auction items display
Use this option to showcase your auction items. This display shows the current highest bids for your auction items, which can encourage your attendees to compete and continue bidding.
Note: This display was built to showcase silent, live, and fixed price items. Fund-a-need and paddle raise items will not show in this display type.

View a display
Once you create a dynamic display, you can find it under Current Displays. Select the display to view it in a separate tab.

Share a dynamic display
Your dynamic displays appear in a new tab with a unique URL. This URL is accessible to anyone with the link. You can share with the person projecting the display at your event.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be an event admin to view/display the dynamic display?
No, the dynamic display URL is public. Anyone with the URL can view the dynamic display.
Can I make the names appear anonymous in the thermometer display?
Yes! To customize how names appear in your auction, go to the Settings tab in your Auction menu.
If your supporters choose to make their donations and bids anonymous, their names will be concealed from displays.
Can I display only specific auction items on the display?
Yes, when you create the display, uncheck Include all items and select the specific items you want to appear in the display.
