Now, you can enter the hex code or use the color picker to adjust the button’s color.

Donation page buttons

The Primary Color on your campaign dictates the button color on Donation pages. Where you can change the primary color depends on your campaign type.

Tip: Avoid white as a primary color. White buttons are not visible on white backgrounds.

Donation page campaigns

To edit the primary color of a donation page campaign, go to the Details tab and select Theme in your menu.

Other campaign types

On all other campaign types, you can change the primary color by going to your Landing Page’s Setup tab and scrolling down to Primary Color.

How do I hide a button?

You can’t completely remove buttons, but you can make them transparent so they are not visible on the page. To hide a button:

  1. Within the design tab, select the button
  2. Select the color circle for the button
  3. Enter RGBA (0, 0, 0, 0) into the hex color field
  4. Change the button style to any of the Wire options and save changes

Note: If you want to hide the donation button on an event campaign, you can turn off the donation page in the settings.

Edit button text

To edit a button’s text, go to the Design tab and select the button you want to edit. Then, you can start typing and your edits will appear right away.

Frequently asked questions

Why do some buttons have different editing options?

We designed specific tools for each button depending on where they are located in your campaign. For example, some buttons give you the option to hide them. But your main donation buttons don't give the option, because they're typically the main call to action.

Why should I customize buttons?

The best donation buttons provide a strong call to action that inspires support for your cause. They also help your supporters understand the impact of their donation, which makes them more likely to donate.

That’s not to say that standard “Donate” or “Give Now” buttons are ineffective. These are still a strong match for nonprofits that may not be able to communicate their impact in 3-4 words. But if you need any help writing, take a look at our professional writers' advice.

Can I change a donate button into a fundraise button?

Not at this time.
