Connect to Virtuous
To connect GoFundMe Pro to Virtuous, you’ll first need a Virtuous account. Also, you’ll need access to the GoFundMe Pro API. If you haven’t set up the GoFundMe Pro API yet, we recommend viewing our setup guide first.
GoFundMe Pro was previously known as Classy, so you may notice some screenshots contain our old name.
As you work, keep GoFundMe Pro and Virtuous open in separate browser tabs. You’ll be working in both during the setup process. This should take about 10-15 minutes.
Create separate logins for the integration
Virtuous recommends you create a separate user login in both Virtuous and GoFundMe Pro that is reserved specifically for this integration.
This will help ensure your sync is not disrupted.
Create an API app in GoFundMe Pro
The next step is to connect GoFundMe Pro and Virtuous by creating an app. To do so:
- Log into GoFundMe Pro
- In the menu, select Apps & Extensions
- Select GoFundMe Pro API
On the next screen, you’ll have fields to enter an Application Name and an Oauth2 Redirect URI. Enter:
Application Name: Virtuous CRM Integration
Oauth2 Redirect URI: https://app.virtuoussoftware.com/
For the application name, you can use any name you like, but we recommend a name that is easy to identify.
Mark the Terms of Service checkbox and select Create App.
Find your Client ID, Client Secret, and Organization ID
After you create your app, you can find it under Your Applications. From here, select Edit and copy your Client ID and Client Secret.
Next, you’ll need to copy your Organization ID. To find it, go to the URL in your browser. The Organization ID will be a series of numbers between admin/ and /apps.
Complete setup in Virtuous
- Login to the Virtuous Connect app
- Go to Integrations
- Under GoFundMe Pro, select View
- Under the Credentials tab, enter your GoFundMe Pro Org ID, Client ID, and Client Secret (API Key)
Next, you’ll want to customize which objects are synced between GoFundMe Pro and Virtuous. For more information, check out Virtuous’ documentation.
