Sunsetting legacy campaigns

Tip: Check out our Academy training to learn how to transition your existing legacy pages to Studio.

Campaign Studio is becoming the only option for creating or duplicating donation pages and embedded forms. This means you may no longer be able to create or duplicate legacy donation pages, embedded forms, or crowdfunding campaigns in your account.

This change is part of our commitment to providing you with the best tools and technology to support your fundraising efforts. While legacy campaigns have served many organizations well, now is the perfect opportunity to create your first Studio campaign.

What are "legacy" campaign types?

"Legacy" campaign types refer to our previous crowdfunding and standard donation pages that have been available for years. These tools were instrumental in helping organizations achieve their fundraising goals.

However, as technology and donor expectations evolve, these legacy tools are being phased out in favor of Studio pages, which offer improved performance, design flexibility, and better donor experiences.

What does this mean for you?

  • You can continue to use your existing legacy campaigns without interruption. These campaigns will remain active and functional for now.
  • You can still create child campaigns from existing templates and also create new templates from child campaigns.
  • Peer-to-peer and events campaigns aren't affected.

Why switch to Studio pages?

We're making this change because Studio performs better. Nonprofits that switched saw a 7.5% year-over-year increase in donations on Giving Tuesday, with even larger gains on New Year's Eve and through January. Studio's advantage comes down to performance and innovation:

  • Enhanced performance: Studio pages load as fast as 0.9 seconds, more than twice as fast as legacy pages. Faster pages mean reduced abandonment rates, better SEO, and smoother donor experiences.
  • Design flexibility: Studio gives you the tools to create beautifully branded, highly customizable pages. Features include:
    • Drag-and-drop design capabilities
    • Multiple layout options with stackable sections
    • Templates already proven to convert
    • Crowdfunding widgets, such as progress metrics and activity feeds, that you can place anywhere on the page
  • Greater innovation: Direct giving features are being released exclusively for Studio
