Introducing GoFundMe Pro

Classy is now GoFundMe Pro. While the brand is retiring, our reliable software tools you know and trust will continue as part of GoFundMe Pro.

GoFundMe Pro combines Classy’s powerful software with GoFundMe’s scale and intelligence to bring you the tools and partnership you need to inspire giving and drive impact.

What does this mean for me and my organization?

In the short term, nothing changes. You’ll continue to have access to the same powerful, easy-to-use fundraising tools, along with the data and insights you rely on to build strong campaigns and engage donors. Plus, you’ll benefit from GoFundMe’s nonprofit tools, like Nonprofit Pages, which help increase your organization’s visibility to our community of nearly 200 million.

There will be no disruption to your product or donor experience as a result of this transition.

In the long term, this transition unlocks even greater opportunities for our customers. With more than $40 billion raised for nonprofits and individuals, we know what drives generosity. We’re harnessing these proven consumer insights to innovate for nonprofits.

Do I need to take any action? Does anything change with our current plan?

No, nothing changes with your current plan, pricing, or fees and you don’t need to do anything as a result of this transition. Payouts for donations made on your GoFundMe Pro donation forms and campaign pages will remain the same, providing a seamless experience as you continue to engage donors and grow your impact.

If changes are needed in the future (for example, for billing or data processing), we will notify you in advance and provide sufficient time to review and execute any updated documents. Any updates to pricing in the future will follow our normal communication channels and contractual terms.

What is changing?

There are a few changes you’ll want to be aware of:

  • On May 6, the link to contact our Care team will be updated to https://prosupport.gofundme.com/hc/en-us. Any existing links will send you to the new page, ensuring a smooth transition. We'll continue updating our help center to maintain a seamless experience in the coming months.

  • Effective May 2025, our invoice and payment email notifications will be sent from accountsreceivable@gofundme.com (previously accountsreceivable@classy.org). Also in May, our invoice templates will be refreshed with updated branding. There are no other changes to our billing processes at this time.

  • On June 23, 2025, the payee name on our bank account will be updated from Classy, Inc. to GoFundMe, Inc. Nonprofit customers will continue to see Classy on their bank statements and payouts after May 6, but we will contact our payment processor partners to update that to GoFundMe as part of this transition.

  • Please continue using Classy's existing EIN/tax ID for your records through June 22, 2025. On June 23, GoFundMe, Inc. will assume all Classy contracts, and the GoFundMe, Inc. EIN will be applicable thereafter. The W-9 form for GoFundMe, Inc., including this EIN, is available for your reference here.

  • Our Classy Donor Terms will be incorporated into our GoFundMe Terms of Service to reflect a closer alignment with GoFundMe. Our Privacy Notice was already combined across Classy and GoFundMe on September 1, 2024.

  • For any existing Classy customers currently on the Classy General Terms and/or Classy Product Terms, these terms will be updated to the GoFundMe Pro Terms of Service for NPOs, effective as of June 23, 2025.

Frequently asked questions

Why was this change made?

GoFundMe Pro reinforces our long-term commitment. It’s the official step that combines Classy’s powerful software with GoFundMe’s scale and intelligence, ensuring organizations have even more opportunities to inspire giving and drive impact.

For decades, charitable giving has remained stagnant at 2% of GDP. We believe we can change that together.

What changes will our donors see? Will it impact recurring donors?

Our software will continue to provide the flexibility to maintain your organization’s unique brand, identity, and values. Because of that, any donor-facing changes will be minimal and there will be no disruption to your recurring donor experience as a result of this transition.

Where required by data privacy laws, we’ll display GoFundMe’s Terms and Privacy Policy alongside your organization’s, just as we did with Classy’s. This approach is designed to minimize donor confusion while upholding the trust and confidence of our community.

Users will no longer see “Powered by GoFundMe’ in checkout flows, email receipts, login screens, supporter center surfaces, admin notifications, or the GoFundMe Pro admin experience. Donors will still be agreeing to the GoFundMe Terms of Service and privacy notice, which was combined with Classy’s and updated in September 2024.

What changes will our fundraisers see?

Your fundraisers will continue to have access to the same peer-to-peer and event fundraising tools they use today. Aside from minor logo and text updates within our product, there will be no disruption to the fundraiser admin experience.

Our teams are still evaluating the timeline for any product updates in the future, but no changes are planned for the remainder of 2025. We will communicate changes when available and will ensure a seamless experience for your fundraisers. In the long term, this transition will unlock even greater opportunities for people to fundraise and support nonprofits.

How should we communicate this change to donors or address questions they may have?

Here is a proposed response to send to your donors:

The fundraising platform our organization uses to receive donations recently rebranded from Classy to GoFundMe Pro. GoFundMe Pro is a trusted, innovative provider of the fundraising software and donor engagement tools thousands of nonprofits use to support their missions. While you will see minor branding changes in the footer of our donation pages and receipts, you can remain confident that you’re directly supporting our nonprofit organization through a safe, secure, and trusted platform.

Will our campaign links, email domains, or supporter-facing URLs be impacted?

There will be no disruption to our customers' product, campaign, or supporter URLs and email domains as a result of this transition. Our teams are still evaluating the timeline for any future updates, but no changes are planned for the remainder of 2025. We will communicate updates when available and will ensure a seamless experience for your organization and supporters.

Will I still receive the same level of service I’ve come to expect from Classy?

Yes, you will continue to receive the same level of service and support you’ve come to expect from Classy. If you have a dedicated account team, your contacts will not change as a result of this transition.

We’re also committed to expanding our resources to better serve you. In addition to our trusted support channels, we will continue to build our on-demand tools, interactive lessons, and training programs to help you maximize your fundraising potential with GoFundMe Pro.

Our goal is to ensure you not only have the technology you need but also the guidance and expertise to grow, thrive, and drive more impact than ever before.

Should we make payments to a new legal entity or account?

Our invoice payment instructions have not changed. We will maintain the same JPMorgan bank account and Phoenix lockbox address for invoice payments for the foreseeable future. However, the payee name on our bank account will be updated from Classy, Inc. to GoFundMe, Inc., effective June 23, 2025.

Will this announcement impact compliance or audit reporting?

All compliance requirements remain unchanged. This includes donor receipts, audit reports, and data protection obligations. If any process or format changes are introduced, they will be documented and shared with you in advance.
