Update the Salesforce base integration
You will need System Administrator access in Salesforce to perform the update. Use the most recent version of the Salesforce integration to access the latest features and benefits from bug fixes.
If you are also using the NPSP extension, update the Salesforce base integration before updating the NPSP extension package.
Important: If you're on a version below 7.33, you must first install the patch version. Otherwise, an error message will appear, and you will not be able to complete the update. After you install the patch, continue with the steps to update to the latest version.
To update:
- Log in to Salesforce
- In the App Launcher, search for and select GoFundMe Pro Control Panel V2
- Locate Recommended Installations
- Select Update
How do I test the update in a Sandbox first?
To test an update in a sandbox before bringing it into production, you need to disable the extension in GoFundMe Pro and turn it back on in the sandbox to test the integration.
Turn off the integration:
- In GoFundMe Pro, select Apps & Integrations
- Select Salesforce
- Select Disable Extension
Turn it back on in a sandbox environment
Now, turn the extension back on and select Sandbox. After you log in to your sandbox environment, follow the steps above to update the integration.
Turn off sandbox and activate it in a production environment
If the update performs as expected, you will need to turn off the extension again, activate it again in the production environment and update again to use the most recent version of the Salesforce integration.
Where can I find my current version number?
For the base integration, you can find the current version number in the Control Panel. When you are up to date, there will be a notification and a link to the Release Notes for more information.
